If you loose your job, what to with the financial child benefits you receive monthly and quarterly?

We receive many questions what to do when you loose your job and the financial support you receive for your children. This concerns the “kindgebonden budget” which is paid monthly bij the Taxoffice and the “kinderbijslag” which is paid quarterly bij the SVB bank.

📌 Upon loosing your job (due to dismissal or end of contract) you can register at the UWV office for an unemploymant benefit (WW-uitkering). Depending on your situation you may be eligible for a maximum of 3 months.

⚠️ When the unemployment benefits stops:

• and you have not found a job yet,

• and you go back to the “leefgeld” from Laborijn

In that case you have to stop the financial child support, both the “Kindgebonden budget”, as well as the “kinderbijslag”. Otherwise you will receive a request to pay it back.

✅ You have found a new job?

– You may apply for the children support again thru “Mijn Toeslagen” for the “kindgebonden budget”and the SVB bank for the “Kinderbijslag”.

❗ Важная информация про выплаты на детей (kinderbijslag и kindgebonden budget)

В последнее время я всё чаще замечаю, что многие не до конца понимают, как работают выплаты на детей, если вы теряете работу.

Объясняю по порядку:

📌 Если вы теряете работу (например, увольнение или окончание контракта), вы можете зарегистрироваться в UWV (биржа труда) и получать пособие по безработице (WW-uitkering) — обычно максимум до 3 месяцев.

⚠️ После этого периода, если вы:

– не находите новую работу,

– и переходите на социальное пособие от gemeente (bijstand), то вы теряете право на получение:

• 💸 Kindgebonden budget (ежемесячные выплаты от Belastingdienst), • 💸 и также Kinderbijslag (ежеквартальные выплаты от SVB).

📌 Важно: это правило касается только украинцев с временной защитой (tijdelijke bescherming).

Для вас эти выплаты предоставляются только в том случае, если вы официально работаете или получаете пособие от UWV.

У других категорий жителей Нидерландов (например, с постоянным видом на жительство или другим статусом) право на выплаты сохраняется даже без работы.

✅ Как только вы снова находите официальную работу, вы можете заново подать запрос на выплаты через:

– Mijn Toeslagen — для kindgebonden budget, – и SVB.nl — для kinderbijslag.
